(Stamford, CT – June 25, 2018) – Chelsea Piers Connecticut is proud to announce that athletes competing under the umbrella of the Chelsea Piers Athletic Club will continue to compete in their respective sports at the collegiate level this fall.

Chelsea Piers Connecticut is home to high-level competitive teams in eight sports. Since opening in 2012, the competitive team program has gained local, regional and national recognition for its elite level coaches and competitive athletes.                     

In addition to college commitments, other CP-AC athlete accomplishments include18 players from the CP-AC Water Polo team who were sent to the Olympic Development National Championships; five were selected for the USA National Team Selection Camp.  The CP-AC Swim Team won the 2018 Speedo Sectionals Championship Series in Ithaca, NY, with a total of 1,205 points, sent two swimmers to compete at the Phillips 66 Nationals Championships, and was awarded the 2018 designation of “Silver Medal Club” for the second straight year on the USA Swimming Club Excellence List. Chelsea Piers Squash team members (and sisters) Lucy and Marina Stefanoni won National Championships in the Girls U15 and Girls U19 divisions. For Marina it was her 3rdconsecutive U19 National Championship.
