Chelsea Piers Connecticut and Chelsea Piers New York hosted the fifth annual Winter Challenge gymnastics meet at Chelsea Piers Connecticut in Stamford on Saturday and Sunday.

About 900 athletes competed in this year’s meet, ranging from beginner to advanced-level gymnasts. There were 54 teams of athletes from six states, including Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The event, sanctioned by USAG, utilized all certified-USAG equipment.

“We are very excited to host the fifth annual Winter Challenge. This event is one that we look forward to because of the great success it has had over the years,” said Greta Wagner, executive director of Chelsea Piers Connecticut. “We are proud to provide this opportunity to bring together both Chelsea Piers New York and Chelsea Piers Connecticut, and to showcase the extremely talented competitive gymnasts in the region.” More photos, A4.
