Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club Celebrates a Memorable Signing Day

National Signing Day is a key event for U.S. high school athletes, symbolizing their commitment to college sports and academics. It's a celebration of their hard work and the support from coaches, families, and communities.

For Chelsea Piers athletes, the day reaffirms their dedication and the strong support from their club. It highlights their effort to balance sports and studies. This year, Chelsea Piers swimmers committed to top universities like Notre Dame, Carnegie Mellon, and Stanford, aiming for excellence in swimming and academics.

These athletes have distinguished themselves both in the pool and in the classroom, earning them places at these esteemed institutions. Their commitments underscore the success of Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club in cultivating well-rounded student-athletes who excel in multiple areas.

“We’re incredibly proud of this amazing group of swimmers and scholars,” said Kevin Burton, Athletic Director. He expressed his admiration by stating, “We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for their hard work and commitment to excellence. Their achievements in the pool reflect not only their talent but also the unwavering support of their coaches, teammates, and families. Signing with these prestigious college programs is a well-deserved milestone, and we have no doubt they will continue to excel at the next level.”

Greta Wagner, the Executive Director of Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club, expressed her sincere congratulations while reflecting on the daily motivation the athletes provide: “At Chelsea Piers Athletic Club, we are constantly inspired by the outstanding dedication and talent of our athletes. No matter where life leads you, Chelsea Piers will always be your home as CPAC alumni. Congratulations on this incredible milestone—your futures are limitless!”

The crucial role played by the coaching staff at Chelsea Piers Aquatics Club in nurturing these athletes' talents cannot be overstated. From the early days of training to the rigorous preparations for competitions, the coaches have been a consistent source of guidance and encouragement. Their expertise and dedication have been instrumental in developing these swimmers into athletes ready for the collegiate level.

The coaching staff has also cultivated a strong sense of community within the team. This nurturing environment has enabled the athletes to flourish, knowing they have a network of mentors and peers cheering for their success. The camaraderie and team spirit fostered within the club have been significant contributors to the swimmers' achievements, both in and out of the pool.

Head Swim Coach Jamie Barone captured the collective pride felt by the coaching staff: “The entire CPAC coaching staff could not be more proud of these athletes. They are a wonderful example of what happens when talent works hard. We all wish them the best as they move on to the next level of swimming and the next exciting phase of their young lives.”
