Chelsea Piers Gymnasts Head to U.S. Nationals + Eastern Championships 2021

The pinnacle of competition for Development Program Gymnastics are the Eastern and National Championships held in May. Chelsea Piers was proud to send seven gymnasts to these prestigious events this year.

Our Chelsea Piers Gymnasts earned their spot by scoring in the All-Around top 7 for their Division/ Age Group at the USAG Regional event in April, competing against gymnasts from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Vermont.

Congratulations to Emmy Cassleman, Lucy Meola and Amaya Cofre for qualifying and competing in the Level 9 Eastern Championships held in Atlanta, Georgia. Congratulations to Level 10 gymnasts Addy Rothstein and Liza Marcus from our girl’s team and Level 9 Gymnast Kofi Wijesekera and Level 10 Gymnasts Emory Smith and Calder Biondi from our boy’s team for competing in the National Championships held in Daytona, Florida.

Kofi, Emory and Calder have made history as the most team members attending the National Championships in the history of the Chelsea Piers Boys Gymnastics Team.

We are beyond proud of the determination and hard work all of our gymnasts and coaches have shown over this last year. We look forward to what the future holds and watching everyone continue their journey at Chelsea Piers.
