FITNESS DIRECTOR AT CHELSEA PIERS FITNESS RUNS 50 MILES TO RAISE MONEY AND AWARENESS FOR CHARITY

(New York, NY – June 15, 2018) – Chelsea Piers Fitness will host a fundraiser, 50 Epic Miles, on Saturday, June 23, to get children sponsored and raise money for clean water initiatives in Africa and other developing countries with Team World Vision.

Last year Chelsea Piers Fitness Director, Josh Fly completed a 50 mile run in 8 hours and 40 minutes. He was joined by co-workers, members, and friends who took turns running on treadmills next to him in the Fitness cafe.  The event created incredible energy throughout the club and raised a generous amount of money and sponsorship of 31 needy children in Africa. 

This year, Josh plans to do the same run on Saturday, June 23, again in the Chelsea Piers Fitness café, followed by climbing Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in July with the goal of getting 50+ children sponsored.  

I've been really blessed to partner with Team World Vision for several years & be involved with their life-changing work, in particular with kids,” commented Josh Fly, Fitness Director at Chelsea Piers Fitness. “Team World Vision focuses on education initiatives, child protection, clean water campaigns and child sponsorship. It has enriched my life in so many ways and I hope this run will draw attention and inspire others to give these children the chance to experience authentic care & compassion.  I have the most amazing family and friends on the planet who support me in this effort.”
