New Ninja and Parkour Camp Offered at Chelsea Piers

June 6, 2017

(New York, NY – June 6, 2017) – Chelsea Piers New York is pleased to announce the launch of the new Ninja and Parkour Summer Camp. This camp joins the roster alongside many other popular summer sports camps offered at the Field House at Chelsea Piers. The new Ninja and Parkour Camp for boys and girls, ages 7-13, is offered throughout July and August.

Ninja and Parkour camp combines inspiration from the popular TV show American Ninja Warrior along with Parkour fundamentals and tricking. Boys and girls train in the art of movement, face challenging obstacles and learn flipping techniques from our expert instructors. The Ninja and Parkour Camp is perfect for students looking to safely explore their physical capabilities in a creative, fun and fast-paced environment. Unlike some sports, parkour focuses on development of the athlete as well as mental strength to try new and unique movements.

“We are very excited to be launching the Ninja and Parkour summer camp,” commented Craig Woodcock, Camp Director, Chelsea Piers. “Every kid imagines themselves being on American Ninja Warrior and now we are able to make this dream safely come to life. The camp is also great for boys who may not be interested in apparatus in gymnastics but love tumbling, climbing and flipping.” On designated days, campers can cool off and enjoy our 17-foot high, super-fun waterslide! In addition, campers will receive a daily recreational period that uses the entire facility with activities such as jousting, rock climbing, ice skating and team obstacle course training.

Chelsea Piers provides full-day campers with well-balanced snacks and lunches. After Care at the Field House is also available for full-day campers who need a little extra time at the end of the day from 4:30pm – 6:00pm. Campers from select convenient locations can take advantage of bus transportation to and from Chelsea Piers that can be added to any full-day summer camp week purchase.

Registration is open, sign up online for one or both summer sessions.
