Winter Events for the Family at Chelsea Piers

Can you believe it’s already November? Are you starting to look for fun winter activities to excite your children this year? The holiday season is the perfect time to try something out of the ordinary. Chelsea Piers has a variety of winter activities that are great and are sure to bring big smiles.

• Save the date for Sky Rink’s 20^th Annual Holiday on The Hudson Skating Show. Free tickets can be received at the front desk. The show features performances by top regional figure skating champions as well as group performances by Sky Rink’s Elite Prep skaters, Junior Prep skaters, Future Stars skaters, and Skating School students. The show is Friday, December 15^th, 2017 at 7pm.

   

• Interested in getting on the ice yourself? Get the whole family up to speed for many afternoons of skating adventures all winter long. Learn to Skate classes at Sky Rink are a perfect way for the family to work on their skating skills together. Group lessons are available which are taught by our professional coaching staff. You could also do without the lessons and stop in for general skating sessions at your leisure.

   

• Leaving from Pier 61, Spirit of New York offers Holiday Cruises for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s; a unique experience for the whole family. Two or three hour cruises on the Hudson feature onboard entertainment such as DJ music and interactive games plus a delicious buffet and beverages. Enjoy the most amazing views of NYC’s iconic skyline in an extraordinary way.
