Tim Townsend
Tim started his career at Fenway Golf Club in Scarsdale, New York where he worked for seven years under the tutelage of Jimmy Wright (Metropolitan PGA Hall of Famer and four-time Met PGA Player of the Year). From there, he went on to Sleepy Hollow Country Club in Scarborough, New York where he worked with Jim McLean as he trained top tour players as Tom Kite, Brad Faxon, Curtis Strange, Hal Sutton and many others.
Tim later moved to the Golden Bear Golf Center in Elmsford, New York where he studied the principles of Jim Flick and Jack Nicklaus in the Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools. He then went on to run the Golden Bear Golf Center for four years as the Head Golf Professional. Tim has been a Class A PGA member since 1995 and has worked with four “Top 100 Teachers,” including Jim McLean, Jimmy Ballard, Jim Flick and Mitchell Spearman.
